Meet Tucker Bo Jackson! Tucker is a hypoallergenic Goldendoodle who loves everyone and loves to show it. Tucker has been working very hard to become a therapy dog and has passed all milestones to date. He has begun to ride on the Speech Shuttle and his doing his best to help make therapy fun and interactive.
There has been research to support the use of animals to reduce stress and have a calming effect for children and adults. For some kids with speech and language impairments, therapy can be demanding and sometimes monotonous. Therapy dogs can provide motivation, be a completely non-judgmental listening ear, increase communication and help reach goals, and bring a smile to those around them.
